Ryan's Bday Weekend in Tahoe!

Last weekend I took Ryan on his first trip to Lake Tahoe for his birthday. We spent the first two nights in South Lake Tahoe which was a lot of fun for Ryan because there are lots of casinos there...he loves to play poker and blackjack. The hotel we stayed at was great because it was situated at the bottom of Heavenly Ski Resort. We took a Gondola ride up to the top which had some pretty views of the lake and some nice snow as well. According to the restaurant and hotel staff, that weekend was the slowest it had ever been. Ryan and I enjoyed the fact that there were no crowds. We had a blast snow tubing (my first time) and of course watching the civil war game, although I probably enjoyed myself more at the end since my team won...go Ducks! haha! The last night we spent in North Lake Tahoe which was awesome because we got a lakefront cottage room. On the way home, we got stuck in a blizzard. We literally sat in traffic not moving an inch for over two hours. Thank God Ryan is a good driver in the snow because I would have been out of luck if I was by myself! Overall, the trip was a lot of fun and we are looking forward to going back sometime soon.

This weekend my parents had a Christmas party and it was a lot of fun. I wish I took more pictures. Actually, the only ones I took were of Parker sitting in Spud's dog bed. Our nephew is the cutest! As soon as I get my camera back, I'll be sure to post pictures of him. Hope everyone had a great weekend. We will be in Oregon for Christmas this year and back in California for New Years. Happy holidays! Here are some photos of our place decorated for Christmas.
