Summer Time in Arizona 2012

As you can imagine, summer time in the desert is HOT...especially being pregnant!  Luckily, we have been keeping busy to take our minds off this heat.  Summer officially started here in May.  During that month Ryan and I had our big ultrasound.  Although it was hard not to look, we were glad we didn't cave in and find out the sex this time around.  Ryan thinks it's probably another girl.  I'm still not sure.  I am just happy the baby is healthy so far.  We were told that we need to have another ultrasound during the third trimester because the placenta is low and this could potentially cause problems later.  Hopefully, it moves up because I really don't want to have a c-section.  Fingers crossed!

boy or a girl?....we will find out  in October :)

Every summer my mom comes to visit and watch Riley so that Ryan and I can have a mini getaway to celebrate our anniversary.  This year we decided to celebrate a few months early since we are too busy to travel in August.  The past three years have been great and we have so much to be thankful for.  To celebrate, we decided to take our first trip to Tucson.  The resort areas were nice there but, we weren't too impressed with the city itself.  Maybe we visited the wrong places downtown.  I was just happy to see a new area of Arizona.  Having alone time with Ryan was much needed!  Thanks mom for visiting us and helping with Riley.  We really appreciated it!

three years and counting!

Over Memorial Day Weekend we took Riley on her first camping trip.  It's amazing how much the scenery changes here just an hour away.  Riley did awesome the entire trip.  It was nice to go with another couple that has a child the same age as her so that she had someone to play with.  We will for sure be planning another outdoor adventure soon.

The remaining are random Riley pictures.  She has a smile that lights up a room.  Every day she does something funny and we feel so blessed to have such an awesome little girl.  Hard to believe she will be two in just a few weeks.  Crazy how fast time goes by!  Even crazier is the day she turns two I officially start my third trimester with our second baby!  Life is good :)  Hope all of you are enjoying your summers.  We miss you all!!
