Thanksgiving Week 2011

This past Thanksgiving my family came to visit us for the week. We had such an amazing time with them. It was the first time my sister and my nephews have been here and only the second visit for my brother-in-law. My mom also joined them. Thank you all so much for coming here!! It meant so much to us and we hope you had a great time!

Since it was our first time hosting, we wanted to make sure it was extra special. So, throughout the week we tried to plan fun activties. Here are some photos that highlight all the fun! Hope each of you had a wonderful holilday. We all have so much to be thankful for!

Thankgiving morning we all got up early to enter a race for charity called the Turkey Trot. It was only two miles but it was a lot of fun and great to see how many people in the community joined together for a great cause.

After the wonderful dinner, we headed to the Phoenix Zoo to see a Christmas light display called Zoolights. We were very impressed with how beautiful it was. We will for sure be making this a holiday tradition.

he loved it!

look at that big belly ;)

After my family left at the end of the week we decided to take a two hour day trip up north to cut down our Christmas tree. It was a pretty funny experience. We went with another couple that has a daughter close to Riley's age. We didn't research very well what part of the forrest had the best trees so, after walking around for two hours and getting lost, we finally settled on a bare pine tree (reminds me of Charlie Brown's tree) haha. Even though we didn't find exactly what we wanted, the whole experience was so fun and will be yet another tradition we will start.

Happy Holidays!!!
