Pearce Party of Four:: January Update

January has been a busy month for us. Earlier this month Riley and I flew to California to visit family and to attend Ashley's bridal shower. Ryan stayed home and worked. She did great on the plane again which made traveling alone with her easy. I had so much fun seeing you Ashley. You are going to make a beautiful bride!

On the 21st Riley turned six months old! Time has gone by fast. She now is able to sit up on her own and yesterday she started crawling for the first time! It's an army crawl but, still it's a crawl =) If I want her to go somewhere all I have to do is place my cell phone or tv remote away from her and she will crawl to it. Not sure why she likes those things so much but, it's fun to watch! Last week we got her first high chair and she now eats solids twice a day. We also got her to take longer naps in her crib now which has been amazing! Before she would only sleep for 20-30 minutes stretches. Now she will nap for one to two hours. Every day with her is fun and we are so blessed to have such a wonderful little girl.

Last weekend our friends Eric and Jody came to visit us from Oregon with their baby girl Lola. We had so much fun with them. Lola is two months older than Riley so it was fun to see them play together. While they were here we took a trip to the zoo. This was Riley's second time at the zoo and she enjoyed it a lot more than the first. Thanks so much for visiting us Eric, Jody & Lola! We can't wait to hang out again soon!!!

Today Angela and Michelle came to visit me from California. Tomorrow we are headed to The Phoencian Resort for a day and night of relaxing with wine by the pool! I'm so excited and will be sure to take pics. Ryan's new hospital has its official opening tomorrow and there is a ribbon cutting ceremony that Riley and I are going to attend and take pictures at. We are so proud of him. In addition to being the new head doctor there, he was also selected to be one of four doctors in a leadership committee that is in charge of the hospitals for half the state of Arizona. So cool!

Next month I am heading to New York for Ashley's bachelorette party and then to Vegas for Ryan's work convention. I'm really looking forward to having two mini baby free vacations. My mom is coming to visit at the end of Feb. We can't wait to see you! Hope all of you have a great weekend!
